Get creative with the iPhone app that lets you capture photos and video using both cameras at the same time
Explore the main features below:
Recording
Tap the Red Circle to start recording with both cameras at the same time.
Tap the Red Square to stop recording. The video saves automatically to your Photos library.
Rotating your phone during recording automatically stops the current recording, saves it and restarts recording, so every video plays back with the correct orientation.
Photos & Quick Clips
Tap the Photo button to capture a still image compositing both the front and back cameras in a single image.
Tap the Clip button to record a fixed-length video that saves automatically to your Photos library. The default time is 5 seconds.
A countdown displays in the cllip icon, showing how many seconds your clip has left to run. Tap the Red Square during countdown to stop recording.
Long-pressing the Clip button opens the clip options menu. Select the length of the clip, from 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds. The current selection is marked with a tick.
The Photo and Clip buttons are disabled during redording.
Selfie Picture-in-Picture (PiP)
At start-up, the rear-facing (selfie) camera appears as a picture-in-picture (PiP) in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
The PiP can be repositioned by dragging it anywhere on the screen, in standby and while recording.
When changing between landscape and portrait, the PiP repositions itself in the bottom-right corner.
Double-tapping the PiP enters Split-Screen mode.
Split Screen Mode
Double-tap the PiP at any time to enter Split-Screen mode.
In portrait, the screen divides top (back camera) and bottom (front camera).
In landscape, the screen divides left (front camera) and right (back camera).
Double-tap the front camera image to exit Split-Screen mode and return to PiP mode.
Recording in Split-Screen mode captures both cameras in the split layout. Rotating during recording saves the current clip and starts a new clip, just as in PiP mode.
You can move between PiP and Split-Screen modes during recording wihtout pausing.
Swapping Cameras
The Swap button (on the far right of the screen) is avaialble in PiP mode.
Tap it to make the selfie camera the full-screen view and move the back camera to the PiP. Tap it again to swap back.
The swap state is preserved when you enter and exit Split-Screen mode.
You can swap cameras while recording - the change takes effect immediately in the recorded video.
Live Zooming
Tap anywhere on the screen to show the zoom dial.
Drag your finger around the dial ring to smoothly adjust the back camera zoom level.
The current zoom level is displayed in the centre of the dial.
The dial auto-dismisses after 3 seconds of inactivity. Tap the screen again to hide it immediately.
The zoom dial works in both PiP and Split-Screen modes.
Auto Captioning
Long-press the Clip button and tap Enable Auto-Captions to turn on live speech-to-text transcription.
When enabled, a yellow dot appears on the record button as a reminder.
Captions appear on screen and are burned into the recorded video in the lower third of the frame.
Up to 3 lines of caption text are shown at a time - new words scroll in from the bottom as you speak.
Long-press the Clip button again and tap Disable Auto-Captions to turn them off.
Speech recognition requires an internet connection and microphone + speech recognition permissions. You will be prompted the first time you enable captions.
Orientation & Rotation
